The Roundhouse Resort

Let me be the first to congratulate PVC for making the remodels of the units! We have been here many times and find it very pleasant. A great area for doing outdoor stuff like hiking, fishing, and sightseeing. The dining opportunities are great - Charley Clarks for prime rib; Lion's Den for great pub cuisine and live entertainment; fast foods are all within short drives. Shopping in ShowLow includes Walmart; Safeway in Pinetop; Eddie's Country Store in Lakeside. Cleanliness is excellent - units are spotless. We enjoy the customer service of all the staff at the resort. They go overboard to welcome you and connect with you frequently throughout the stay to make sure that everything is meeting your needs. For the money - it is a great place to stay. Very quiet and set back from busy roadways. Horseback riding right next door if you desire a trail ride. The remodeled units are up to date, with large shower and nice vanity in master, bathtub and nice vanity in second bath. Lots of extra towels, shower gel/shampoo/lotion/conditioner all included. Small safe in master for securing items. The Roundhouse has split off now from PVC, so you still have access to mini golf, table tennis, chess games, bag toss, playground, and horseshoes. Coffee and hot chocolate bar in the office. All around great place to stay with excellent and friendly staff that accommodate your every need.

Do not recommend if you have children. Almost all amenities are gone. Nothing for children to do on site except a playground. When we were there in May 2025 there was the swimming pool, recreation center with racket ball, basketball, etc. There was mini golf. Now all has been taken away by a newly formed private company renting out spaces to non-RCI. I do not know what we are going to do while there in May 2026. Driving to a swimming pool is 30+ minutes away!

A little dated but spotlessly clean and well maintained. A lamp out was replaced within 5 minutes! Lovely quiet location and well placed for great hiking trails. Good advice on more challenging hikes from staff. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free facilities included heated indoor pool and games, mini golf and laundry. A lovelt resort.
