Prescott Resort and Conference Center

Chapter I We have been going here on and off for 10 years, but no longer. The hotel is pretty beaten up in several areas. On top of this, I would estimate after being at the front desk between 30-40% of all door keys fail to operate the door. The list rooster was on the desk with numerous complaints about non-functioning door keys and a huge new box of pass cards being reprogrammed over and over. The front desk indicated this problem has been going on for several month...but maybe in Janurary 2027 they might be getting new door access locks but she just shrugged her shoulder and said ' "Oh well"... This was so frustrating.....included 6 separate trips to the front desk and two room changes due to bad door locks (yes the second room we were sent to still had a defective lock). We hap people waiting on us for dinner and the back and forth with hotel staff was joke. When we finally were able to access our room the green light on the lock activated, hurray right?! Nope we had to body slam the door due to an out of square door jamb. Use the toilet? Yes! But had to use about 20 lbs. of down force just to get the handle to operate. HVAC in room sure, but temp litter has been set to 75 degrees and would not allow room to be cooled down. Nice sleeping on a bed with no reason for a bedspread or sheets to sweat under. Yes we informed front desk of the various issues bit with a two day stay don't count on much being corrected. The second day the door keys had to be remade because they failed again.. Very tempting at this point just to sleep on ratted furniture in the lobby instead of the room, but then we figured it would be another "upcharge" or *mystery tax" called "Privilege charge?" (see chapter V) Chapter II Most hotels in the US include a microwave and when we book we were in a "King Suite which was a $30.00 up charge. Nope, you want a microwave $25.00 surcharge. Want any source to plug your phone in? Yep on outlet on the desk but don't think of getting a plug unless your are prepared to attempt to move the bed out. TV? Yep you get two but the screens are about 20" inches if not less. Chapter III We attended an after hours event only to discover the hospitality room had a non-functional AC and a huge fan sitting at the front entrance. This is not the first time as last year the same issue. We doubt it was ever addressed. Out event organizer informed us this has been the case for at least 4 years behind last year. Wow in Arizona a non-functional HVAC system in a hospitality room is an event killer to say the least. Chapter IV Well general condition of furniture in the lobby and bathroom cleanliness during our event? Pictures speak a thousand words. We keep thoughts to ourself until we get home and post a review. In this case there we so many overheard comments about condition of the hotel and related comments in the past previous chapters no need to further comment on those issues. Chapter V The bill arrives and a pleasant additional $20+ "privilege charge" added to each night? Lady at front desk explaining it's a tax...yep I was born yesterday since tax on an indian reservation owned hotel must be a new thing. So goodbye Prescott Resort. I'm gonna talk with our event organizers and hopefully convince them to look elsewhere next time.

If you're looking for friendly staff, continental breakfast, free coffee, a working tv, air conditioning, carpet that you won't trip on, and an outlet by the bed that's not behind the headboard - then this place is NOT for you! Extremely disappointing and overpriced.

Room was in disrepair. Very overpriced for what is offered. Was there a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. That is the reason for return trip. Restaurant food and service was very poor. Gave it a couple of chances and didn't change. Room was noisy got little rest. Music from bar area pounding through walls and we were on third floor. Furniture in room ripped, broken. Mattress was good about 10 years ago. Staff acted like they didn't care much. Would not go back.
