I had a fantastic experience! It is an older property, but it was clean and comfortable. George was amazing and made us feel special. Kyla (or Kira?) at check was quick and helpful. Matthew, the bartender was so kind. I ate there each night and the food was delicious. With the food credit, it was well worth it. David? at the front desk in the evening, was also kind and helpful. Thank you again George for such a memorable stay!

My husband, our dog, and I stayed at Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas for approximately one month while our home was undergoing repairs due to a plumbing-related insurance claim. I am sharing this review not to attack the property or its staff, but to provide honest feedback for anyone considering an extended stay, especially those being displaced from their homes due to insurance claims.
I want to begin by recognizing a few positives. Wyatt from the sales team was kind, professional, and helpful during the initial tour and booking process. He explained the villa accommodations and amenities, including the private pool area, dedicated housekeeping, and concierge services. The maintenance technician, Felipe, was also consistently respectful, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, our experience after moving in was disappointing.
One of the primary reasons we chose the villas was the promise of dedicated housekeeping services. After more than a week in the villa, I coordinated with the concierge team to have our unit cleaned while we were out of the room with our dog. I specifically arranged my schedule and even paid for dog daycare so housekeeping could access the villa without interruption.
The room was not cleaned.
I was assured it would be handled the following day, so I once again arranged to be away from the property for several hours. For a second consecutive day, the room was not cleaned. After multiple requests and significant inconvenience, the cleaning was finally completed another day later.
What was most frustrating was not the missed housekeeping itself, but the lack of accountability and communication surrounding it.
When I attempted to address the issue with a member of hotel leadership, I was met with what I felt was a dismissive and condescending attitude. During that conversation, I was told that because our insurance company was covering our stay, we were essentially staying there “for free.” I found this comment inappropriate and unprofessional. Regardless of who is paying the bill, every guest deserves respectful treatment.
I was also uncomfortable witnessing internal disagreements among staff being discussed directly with guests. As a customer, I should not have been placed in the middle of employee conflicts or differing opinions about hotel operations.
Another concern involved guest privacy and professional boundaries. After I spoke with an HR representative regarding my experience, I was repeatedly approached by a hotel employee seeking updates about that conversation. This eventually escalated to a phone call placed directly to my room after the employee had accessed my contact information. The repeated requests for information made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. What should have remained an internal employee matter became something I felt drawn into as a guest.
Beyond these interactions, the overall housekeeping quality was inconsistent throughout our stay. Floors were often not thoroughly cleaned, bathrooms appeared only partially serviced, and we even encountered a roach in our villa restroom.
For a property that advertises itself as dog-friendly, I was also surprised by the lack of convenient dog waste stations throughout the villa area. Guests with pets often had to search for trash receptacles to dispose of waste bags.
The villas themselves have been recently renovated and are visually appealing. However, attractive accommodations cannot make up for poor communication, inconsistent service, and unprofessional guest interactions.
Extended-stay guests are often dealing with stressful situations such as home repairs, insurance claims, or family emergencies. Compassion, consistency, and professionalism matter tremendously in those circumstances.
While I appreciate the efforts of Wyatt and Felipe, I cannot say that our overall experience met the expectations we had when choosing this property. Based on our experience, I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others seeking long-term accommodations during a home displacement.
I sincerely hope management takes guest feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve both service standards and communication moving forward.

I have been Diamond at Hilton for years and have noticed that many properties are in decline. This one is not a 4 star and would not be considered a resort. Room needed updating, patio door would come open/not lock, room did not cool, ripped carpet in halls. Checking out- the front desk had no clue and told me I was prepaid, so would not print out my folio. It was not prepaid- it was a virtual business card that I have used at all Hilton and Marriott properties (and this year I have stayed 68 nights in hotels). I made up my mind this stay- I’ll focus on getting my Ambassador at Marriott (currently Titanium) Diamond status at Hilton is not recognized. So disappointed- checking out and headed to a real resort.
