Best Western Plus Royal Sun Inn & Suites

My advice is to steer clear. This was rated 8.0 on Hotels.com price was reasonable. Arrived Monday night 7:45pm so tired turned on tv said it was not connected to power. Called front desk guy came looked said someone prior may have disconnected used gaming device. She gave me another room. Tv said unable to connect, really just wanted to unwind watch tv. Too breezy for jacuzzi but so wanted to go. Looked clean I was down by pool area. Called about ice machine it was all the way up by lobby. They were nice enough to bring me a bag of ice when came to look at tv in 2nd room. Tuesday morning, turned water on in shower to get warm, looked in and there was a spider on floor, he went down the drain when turned off water. Then found there was no body wash in dispenser on wall, what else could go wrong. Breakfast was not really good. Bottled apple juice only flavor, packaged muffins and bread with toaster, no butter jam or the like. Couple bananas. Coffe and hot water with tea bags. I do not recommend.

My fellow Mexicans, I strongly warn you of this hotel. We request a room for 2 nights. We were charged $174 and I thought it would be something more than $80 a night that certainly made me economical and according to the low level of quality of the room. The next day we left early to tour the city. By the time we returned in the afternoon we had already been blocked from entering the room. I went to reception and they made it clear that the person who served us the night before had charged only for one night (really? . . . $174.00 for an old, substandard room? I asked for one more night and was told that there was an error in the previous charge and that they would compensate me by charging me $100.00 for an additional night. I paid for them. They gave me access to the room again but when I entered everything was undone, the service did not clean the room or fix the beds, in fact, they left them more scrambled. I went to reception again and was told that they did not make the rooms because they had paid for only one night. I requested a room change and incredibly they told me that it was not possible . . . (!!!! so I am paying for a room night to receive a totally undone room!!!) The service was able to fix the room if they were going to electronically block access to the room anyway. So simple. . . if I pay, they give me access to a clean room. If I don't pay, they just won't let me in for another night, but the room is clean for the next client. . . simple logic, but in this case you don't. . . if you pay punishment you're left in an absolutely messy room with undone beds. The next day they fix it for another client. That's the brilliant logic of who runs this branch. I make clear that there was no discussion on my part at any time, however the tone of the woman attending to me (in Spanish) answered my questions by raising her voice, extremely unpleasant. I asked for my money back. The other older American woman who was there at the front desk making the collections took the money and put it on the counter giving a loud bang, practically throwing it. I insist there was no loud voice from me at any time, just questions. Years ago I was a frequent guest of this hotel when it was Best Western. I guess they changed administration along with the name change. Bad experience. I ask my fellow Mexicans to avoid the risk of ill-treatment, perhaps because of our origin, I don’t know, but really, avoid this hotel. I will NEVER return to this hotel.

Excellent establishment. Was in Tucson to help my Son move out of the Dorms at the University of Arizona. We stayed at this Best Western for 3 days and will stay there again when I come to visit. Everything you need for a comfortable trip. Great Staff!
