Basin Park Hotel

We were given the green room. It was advertised as a newly done room that has a balcony to overlook the hotel. Here are the only positives I had: the air conditioning worked very well, the room service was nice, it was close to all shopping, the shuttle driver was kind , and it had a restaurant. As for the negatives-( pull up a chair, we will be here a while).: Every night and day it sounded like a herd of elephants above us. The stairs are right next to the room so you can hear every person going up and down. The play room is above us so it sounded like kids are jumping on beds and jumping off non stop. The balcony over looks the lobby (kind of awkward and not a selling point) The balcony doors do not have a seal so ALL of the noise from the lobby comes into your room. The music on the weekends is very loud and goes until close to 11, so if you’re a light sleeper good luck. If the person above you is a stomper (which sadly ours were) it sounds like they will fall through the ceiling The hot water takes forever to get hot. Thr tub never got hot. Maybe if you were in a different room, it wouldn’t have been as bad but our experience was awful. I would not recommend anyone to stay in that room. If we were staying longer, I would have asked for a refund and stayed someplace else. Side note: it’s 10:20 pm and the people above is a running from one side of the room To the next and I can hear every… single… footstep. Thank goodness for sleeping medicine. We will be needing it again.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Rooms were quiet, clean & comfortable. The location was in the perfect location to walk anywhere you wanted to go in town. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful, historic pet friendly hotel and town. Amazed at how kind staff were to our dogs and how stores all had water bowls outside for animals.
