HOWARD JOHNSON EXPRESS INN EUREKA SPRINGS

I am giving this 5 stars because of the great service that was given by the owner and the price that we paid for 2 lovely nights. I really only use a motel for a place to sleep, relax, shower and grab sone breakfast. We are busy when we are on vacation and see and do a lot. The owner was very attentive to our needs and very friendly, He apologized for not turning up the hot tub but made sure it was addressed the second day. Breakfast was simple but tasty and filling. Room was very clean but not really updated. I liked that we were just far enough away from town and could relax. If you need all of the "new" stuff, this probably not the place for you but if you can enjoy a great place at a great price, then it is perfect!

Very unpleasant stay. Lack of housekeeping and lying hotel owner/manager. HK skipped our room 2 days in a row. However, they did clean our other friends rooms. Manager/Owner said we were 1) in the room when HK came or we had a DND sign on....therefore that's why they didn't clean it. NEITHER WERE TRUE - Day 1 - we left at 930a -- HK was still there. Day 2 - left hotel at 745A - I even called the hotel to remind them to clean room. Day 2 he said that his HK staff didn't show up. SORRY That's not my problem. AS The owner or manager- he should have got off his butt and cleaned the rooms. There were only 4 rooms. How hard can that be??? When we asked for clean towels because the rooms weren't cleaned - he refused to provide them until we returned the dirty towels so that he could COUNT THEM! What a great customer experience! Needless to say.... He was a jerk... We ended up moving to another hotel at 8pm that night..... just because he was such an ____ and we wanted showers with clean towels! BIKERS: Highly suggest that you don't stay here. The motel entrance is extremely steep and located on a busy main road. It's virtually impossible to see both ways in order to get out of the drive. Definitely NOT SAFE. Find a different motel.

For the cost of the three nights stay at Express Inn in Eureka Springs AR it would be hard to beat. The room had a comfortable king size bed and everything was very clean. The AC was cold and the second floor room at the end of the walkway on the pool side of the building was quiet and seemed to have good insulation all around to cut down on outside noise. The continental breakfast was very good just as described with the hours of service exact 7-9 am, so don't expect to be early or late :) Pool was clean and well maintained. Office personnel were very professional and helpful. Overall excellent experience and will stay here again if given the opportunity
