Motel 6 Texarkana Ar

Checked in and seemed decent, came back from dinner and the whole room smelled of weed from the room below. TV wouldn’t work, bathroom lights and fan were out. Went to the front desk and asked for a different room and they said they were sold out with 20 cars in the parking lot, crap. Asked for a refund and response was you would have to come back in the morning and talk to the manager! This place is a sh&# hole! I slept in my truck. Do not stay here! If I could give it -5 stars I would.

THE GOOD; NO bed bugs or other insects detected! The BAD & the UGLY; Felt very unsafe/fearful as an older women (I had the attendant walk me to the room d/t being gawked at by men smoking -hanging outside their rooms). Labor's & Contractors’ Motel primarily External door seal so poor that significant outside light shone through the door all night long! Greasy Grimy, paint stained, filthy phone & phone cord All other surfaces barely adequately cleaned Extra blanket smelled / REEKED of petroleum stench! Bathroom linens + Bed linens stained, quite threadbare with multiple small - large cigarette / cigar burn holes. No shampoo available Seedy Area ... lots of 5-8 minute visits & guys wondering all around am/pm VERY LOUD !!! (am/pm) Limited - insufficient parking d/t MANY contractors’ large trucks

This is a clean, updated, no-frills motel. No breakfast included, though, but fast food available right next door. Slept like a baby! Saving money on a perfectly good room was a big plus for us. I’d much rather use vacation funds for doing fun things!
