We stayed for a week at Pixar. We knew it was the cheapest hotel of the 3, so weren't expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The decor in the lobby is fun, quirky and modern and the rooms follow suit. The staff are lovely, helpful and always have big smiles. Little things do make a difference, such as the staff, the non fog mirrors in the bathrooms, the fridge and the spacious rooms. We stayed on the 12th floor with amazing views of California Adventure and the nightly fireworks. The Maple restaurant was great - expensive, but nothing in Disney is cheap! The lifts were fine. Sure at times they took a little while but this is nothing new for a busy hotel. The reasons for not giving 5 stars - the pool area is MUCH too small. The splash pad was extremely disappointing, my toddler didn't spend more than 2 minutes there. The pool was so crowded it was quite stressful with a toddler and kids jumping on top of us. I was shocked to see children jumping in and out of the jacuzzi as well. They really need an adults only jacuzzi at least and a much bigger pool, with staff managing the out of control children. There is also no room service - this seriously is a shame as we would have utilised this a lot. The snack food downstairs was fine but we paid a lot for a fruit pot which was full of bad fruit that was inedible! I also do not understand why they cant supply some bottled water - this is a basic. All up, the location is great and an easy walk to Downtown Disney and the Parks. The staff are fantastic and the decor and cleanliness is great. They're just missing a trick with the pool, some complimentary water and the room service. I'd recommend the hotel if you're not looking to swim/lounge by the pool and are happy not to have room service.

I spent a week at the Pixar Hotel at Disneyland overall the property is okay. The restaurant is okay but way overpriced and has a limited menu. The rooms are clean and a very good size. The swimming pool is to small for the amount of people using it has very limited seating. It is in a great location for down town Disney and to get into the parks. The number one reason I will never stay at this hotel again is the elevators. It has the worst elevator system I have ever seen and management is aware of it they just don’t care!!! You will wait an average of 20 to 30 minutes for an elevator in the morning and evenings and 10 to 15 minutes in the afternoons. The elevators were not sized for strollers so they are always full by the time they get to you so you will constantly not be able to get on one!!! Do your self a favor and spend a few more dollars and stay at the Disneyland Hotel!!!

We recently stayed two nights in a premium view club level access room at the Pixar Place Hotel. We stayed here because we were very frequent guests of the old pier hotel because the price was very solid for the club level rooms and it came with early entry to the parks. We haven’t stayed at the hotel since the remodel and were excited to test it out.
Pros:
New theme is so much more modern and colorful than the old one
Great Pixar touches everywhere felt like a Disney hotel
Beds were comfortable
Rooms are a good size
Premium view is fantastic
Service by club level staff and front desk was fantastic
Pool deck is small but well done with the space
Unique character meets-Bing Bong!
Summer in the club lounge is lovely!
Donnie at the front desk is a delight!
Cons:
Club level food service was not great-staff seemed annoyed or put out often
Club level food offerings are not good- same items almost everyday and at each time and low quality (think stale popcorn, chips and crackers everyday)
Elevators are often slow and confusing
Very overpriced for the quality and offerings of rooms
Pool area is small and can get crowded
Gift shop staff was grumpy
Overall we are glad we tried it but the hotel just ain’t worth the cost. You can stay at the Disneyland Hotel for about the same price for much better theme and amenities. Or better stay on Harbor and save a ton of money and get a better quality hotel too. We won’t be back anytime soon to the Pixar Place.
