Best Motel

NO! NO!NO! Sheets tea colored brown. Manager removing towels from previous guest. Left wet wash cloth hanging on shower curtain rod. No refunds! Very late stayed because too tired to drive. Second worst experience in 60 years of traveling

Me and my boyfriend stayed here and our time here was horrible! Holigans all over the place, nothing but arguing and fighting. Drugs and fighting too.I have never felt so scared and the managers wouldn't do anything at all about it. We had to call the police!!

While travelling Route 66, I came across a town called Barstow and a place called Best Motel.... or that is what the sign said ! The room was adequate for my needs but there was serious problems locking the door when I went out. The manager was called for this purpose and after a lot of fiddling, actually managed it. The rooms on one side and upstairs decided to have a 'party' at 2.30 in the morning and continued until 7am which meant no sleep. When the shower was tried, it felt like the tap would depart from the wall before the water got hot. The reason for this was dodgy plumbing and after the maintenance guy visited, he found that if you forced the tap in the reverse direction this provided water. With no sleep, no shower and no refunds there really isn't much else to be said.
