My friend and I needed a quick getaway from Sacramento that gave us everything we wanted: time in nature, real relaxation, and great seafood. We checked out a bunch of places in Bodega Bay, but The Inn at the Tides immediately stood out—amazing location, free continental breakfast, a welcome bottle of wine, and a spa/pool. It genuinely exceeded our expectations! Our room was spacious, with a first-floor patio (grazing deer included!) and beautifully manicured grounds. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful, and both restaurants—The Tides Wharf and Bayview—were excellent. We lucked out with fantastic weather and more bird sightings than I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend!

Hotel located on a pleasant site near the cliffs of Bodega Bay. The deluxe King size room is spacious with a distant view of the bay. Nice accessible pool. An uncomfortable mattress, large paint stains on the bathroom wall that look like dirt, and a faulty bathtub faucet do not reflect the brand image the hotel claims to have. The "Continental" breakfast included in the service must be eaten 100m from the hotel. Expect extra charges if you want eggs, bacon, or toast. The butter and jam are only for spreading on the provided croissant...with a muffin and a fruit cup. The reservation made by our daughter was paid for on Booking; it was a birthday gift, which we mentioned upon our arrival. At the front desk, the hotel requests a credit card for a hold for any potential charges. A few days after we left, the hotel charged us for the hotel night that had already been paid for! Many phone calls were necessary to obtain a refund (between Booking and the hotel, which could not find the reservation payment).

This place is overpriced for what you get. The rooms are very basic. Ours was much smaller than what you see on their website and was very stuffy. We had to keep the door wide open for a couple of hours to air the room out. The beds were comfortable. They were a bit stingy with the towels in the room, the toiletries were minimal and they didn't offer any bottled water. Our room included a bottle of wine but it was awful. The pool was nice, so was the hot tub and dry sauna. More towels would have been great. We checked out the complimentary breakfast in the Waterfront restaurant across the road and it was ok. You get a bowl of granola with milk, a croissant, a muffin, a small bowl of fruit and some jam packets, as well as coffee/tea. You can order additional food off a menu at an extra cost. Overall the price we paid (>$400 USD/night) didnt match the value of what we recieved.
