Hotel Amarano Burbank

Location was good, Room was nice. Dining area/bar small and awkward layout. Included Breakfast was just ok, fruit, pastry & yogurt. Paid the next day for breakfast- expensive and wasn’t very nice. Took a long time to make. Also a very long wait in the bar on an early evening, 40mins for a drink! Room only got cleaned once so had to request clean towels. Valet parking only and this was a shambles. Requested our car, they ‘couldn’t find our key’, then they said the room number was ‘wrong’ on the sheet, then they proceeded to bring the ‘wrong car’ out of the garage and laughed when we said it wasn’t ours! We waited 30 minutes until our car was finally brought out because they ‘couldn’t find it!’ They knew exactly what car we had as this was the 2nd day & we’d been in & out a few times. I do actually think someone had taken it thinking we weren’t going out for the evening and then had to buy some time for whoever it was to bring it back! $56 a day for parking! I wouldn’t bother!

Unfortunately, I spent 10 days in this hotel while on business in Burbank. I have never felt so duped by online marketing. I was miserable the entire time. The hotel was dirty, the staff dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, I felt like I was sleeping at a truck stop but paying for a 4 star hotel. Despite its convenient location, I have decided to sit in traffic rather than stay here on subsequent trips.

A hotel with no soap was not something we ever expected to hear. We stayed last week and would not recommend. The rooms are lovely, but after we had checked in, we were told that the hotel had run out of soap and shampoo and that guests needed to use shower gel, mounted to the wall, inside the shower. We were told all rooms in the hotel had no soap, and that none was available (this was on a Friday). We would not stay here again.
