We’ve stayed at several bed and breakfasts and this one was not one of the best. The room was nice although could use some updating. The “Room at the top” had the bathroom across the hall which was fine except the claw foot tub had no handrails, was very high and very slippery to climb into and out of. It felt very very unsafe. We also had to run water for 3-4 minutes to get it hot. We were not told innkeeper lived off site so first two nights we were all alone in the house and were not told when she left so when I called to ask if I could have some hot water at 7:00 pm she said the kitchen was closed and locked and it was not possible as we then found out she didn’t live there. Our last night there were other guests and as she was leaving for the night she asked us and another couple if we would watch for the last guests as they hadn’t arrived yet and she wanted to leave. We were in sitting room doing a puzzle and felt we had to stay down there to help until they finally arrived. Happy hour was nice as was the full breakfast with yogurt, granola and an entree. We only saw her for breakfast the last day.. the best part of this inn is her staff member Angie who is more what one would expect from an innkeeper…friendly, attentive and anticipating your needs. Her cook also made very good meals and cookies. We will return to Cambria but not there.. it just appears Anna’s heart really isn’t in it…at least not what we witnessed. It seems to be just a job and I feel to own a b and b you need to want to be there. People seem to love the carriage house and that appears to make a difference in your stay. Also in Feb. everything closes by five and with no tv anywhere in the house you better have a good book!

My review is in synch with what others are saying. The Inn is charming, the room we had was spacious, and the innkeeper was very accommodating. Cambria is a beautiful small town and this Inn is located on the main drag. Some specifics -- the breakfast was good, the garden area beautiful, ample parking ... all in all if you're looking for a relaxing experience in a quaint small town near the ocean, this is a great option.

The Olallieberry Inn delivers: friendly hosts, charming details, gourmet complimentary breakfasts, and a serene setting. My daughter and I stayed in The Creekside Suite which offered living area/fireplace and a pull out couch as well as bedroom with king bed. There was also a balcony area off the living room which overlooks the creek. In the evenings you can hear the frogs! Stay for complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon and then head into town for dinner. Everything is within relative walking distance, however, you might want to hop in the car if you plan on going over the other side of town. Also, Cambria is a bit of a sleepy town so don't expect too much to be open late.
