We stayed here one night on our way from Southern California to Oregon. The hotel was just okay. It’s a very basic Best Western style hotel with no extra amenities or decor. The room was fairly large but the bathroom was very small. The breakfast was limited. Note: there is a Starbucks adjacent to the hotel. The pool looked nice but we didn’t use it.
There are limited hotel option between Sacramento and Red Bluff. This hotel was okay for a one night stopover, but we would not stay here again.

Clean and comfortable Hotel with the standard breakfast, which I am always grateful for. Enjoy the coffee machine which gives you different selections plus hot chocolate. Do be careful around the pool though the tiles can be slick and so I warn especially children because they love to run. We stay there once a month during H.School, Jr. High School Rodeo

We arrived to a nice room, lots of construction work in the motel but it was clean. The pool was inside so we enjoyed that as well as the hot tub. All deemed well and we settled in for the night.
At 2:30 AM!! The smoke alarm started chirping after 30 min I walked to the desk to see a casually dressed young lady interacting with her phone. She looked up as I explained the issue. She looked at me and said she didn’t know how to fix that maybe hit the test button. Knowing as I have the same smoke slam in my home that would only wake up my sleeping wife and 2-3 more rooms I said another option. She said “I do not know”. I asked if there were other rooms available and she gave me an option there.
Returning the room I spoke to. My wife and we refused to move it was 3:30 by now and we would leave in a couple hours.
On check out the manager said she had computer problems and she would contact us later regarding the issue
Shoot to the send… the manager gave us $20 off for the trouble!!! I would expect a free night as the smoke alarm was chirping as We left the room 4 hrs later. Little to no sleep and a full days drive ahead.
This is not over but I highly suggest avoiding this motel, stop 30 min north at Antelope Hills Best Western in Red Bluff. Always a consistent stay there just town shuts down at 8pm making evening arrivals tough.
And for alls information, our family has stayed at Best Western for over 30 years and this year alone stayed 16 nights
