Americas Best Value Inn Crescent City

Beware!! Not sure about other rooms(chances are if one room has them they all do) but the room i stayed in had cockroachs. Notified the owner. I believe his name was John, he was extremely rude about it and aggressively insisted I was wrong. I asked him to come take a look so I could show him I was infact not wrong he flat out refused and told me I was a lier. That being said the lady that works the front desk(i forgot her name) was always very nice and polite everytime I talked to her. Unfortunately that dose not make up for cockroach! If you stay at this motel make sure you check your belongings throughly so you don't take any cockroachs with you when you leave!

Just read on Facebook where a guy had just spent one night and had a rat in his room that pooped on the bed. All the hotel did was put rat poison in the room. The hotel didn’t even offer a discount or free stay.

I’m not sure why this property has so low ratings..after many hours of driving I needed a place to stay the night. I check a few places in the area.. the rates were too high for what their reviews reflected. As someone who never stayed in a mom and pop before I was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was just right for a night or two, clean, quiet, friendly staff, in a convenient location at an affordable rate. Not sure when or if I’ll ever get back to the area, but if I do, I know where to stay.
