I absolutely loved our stay at the Carter Inn. I would definitely stay again if ever in the area again. (We stayed 3 nights.) Kat, Diana, Jane and all the staff were so fun and friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were excellent. We had three rooms right next to each other and they were the same layout. Very nice and clean. I only wish they had a small refrigerator. No microwave but we we didn't need that. I highly recommend this Inn! Plus the free warm pumpkin chocolate chip cookies were a sweet bonus!

Me and my husband stayed at Carter House Inns mid September 2026, we were just there one night as we were on a road trip travelling along the coast. The staff were so welcoming, it had a really family feel to the place, and they really wanted to ensure you had the best stay and couldnt have been more helpful. They also went above and beyond when I left behind something valuable, they were brilliant and called us to let us know, when we said we had travelled to far to come back, they even offered to post our item to our next hotel stop at their own time and expense. I cant even begin to say how much that was appreciated and how grateful we were for their excellent level of customer service. The food here was also brilliant and worth every penny. Location is in a great place, close to the shops and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and clean. If you are planning a trip to stay in Eureka, this is the only place you should be looking at!

The location was in walking distance to the historic downtown area with cute shops and dining. Loved the big room and seating area but wish there was a mini fridge. The elevator went out the day we arrived which was fine except for lugging luggage. Overall highly recommend also food was delicious for Bret and dinner!
