Cedar Lodge

I have mixed feelings about our stay. We booked a Junior Suite and paid extra, so we expected a bit more I guess. The property itself was nice, with three pools and the Merced River just across the road, which made for a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the room was a different story. It was very outdated, and the amount of bugs and spider webs was overwhelming. The bathroom wasn’t clean when we arrived, one of the drawers squealed loudly every time it was opened, the air conditioner was extremely noisy, and the wallpaper was peeling with what appeared to be mold underneath. The refrigerator also froze our leftovers, milk, and creamer even on the lowest setting, so we ended up having to throw everything away. Since we were only staying two nights and planned to spend most of our days exploring, we decided not to ask to switch rooms. On the positive side, the beds were clean and comfortable, which was really all we needed after long days out. While the property’s location and amenities were great, the condition of the room definitely took away from the overall experience.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, parked directly in front of room. Great hamburger in the restaurant with good service. Quiet. Just outside the park, too!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cedar Lodge near Yosemite! I visited with family and friends, and it was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful national park. The lodge itself is cozy and well-kept, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations or assistance. The amenities were great, and we loved being able to unwind by the hot water pool after a day of hiking. A bonus for Tesla owners: there’s a Tesla Supercharger station only about 6 miles away, which made it super convenient to keep our car charged for all our daily adventures. The location is unbeatable – so close to Yosemite, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Highly recommend Cedar Lodge for anyone planning a Yosemite trip!
