Courtyard by Marriott Foothill Ranch Irvine Spectrum

We have been to this hotel a dozen times, starting at the end of Covid (late 2021) through this fall of 2025. This is an outstanding hotel. We're invariably impressed by the customer service, the food and service in the Bistro, and the always-clean rooms. This is a great place to get away, chill and get out of the daily. The hotel has never felt crowded or noisy, and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby, both high-end and family restaurants. (There is Round Table Pizza, a great Thai place, an Urban Plates and an OrangeTheory gym all in short walking distance.) We love this hotel.

We stayed for three days and have stayed previously. It is well located, very safe area, lots of fast food choices, great Thai restaurant 300 ft walking distance. The beds are excellent, had a great sleep. However there is plenty of parking, this is suburbia, not near the airport, and now they are charging 15.99 a night for parking, Plus a 4.3% service fee for the company that runs the parking billing! Signs say you pay or risk being towed. Explanation of staff was that the "property management" of this large commercial development said that guests were parking in their parking area, but the fact is that there is plenty of parking surrounding the hotel and previously it was free. I would probably look for another hotel nearby that offers free parking. For meals, there is an In-N-OUT a few minutes away by car, so had that for two nights and the third I went to the nearby Ralphs grocery and got some deli food. Overall a good place but there should not be a charge for parking here. I have been to the Thai Garden before, it is very good but no time this trip.

Alex (in the restaurant/bar) is the reason for the excellent rating. He makes every stay enjoyable by providing laughter, wisdom, food (it isn’t his fault he’s working with a limited menu) and drinks. He always has a great attitude, even when he’s very busy. Alex has things running like a well oiled machine, so be nice and tip well!
