Extended Stay Deluxe Fremont - Newark

This hotel is absolutely horrendous. We only came here for because Kaiser partners with them for lodging. Front desk lost my reservation despite me giving my correct confirmation #. Staff was impolite and had bad attitudes. The room REEKED OF FISH!!! So badly to the point that our luggage and blankets/pillows we brought smell now after getting home🤮 Plus cobwebs in almost every corner. But hey they have laundry on site! It only costs $6 per load! Oh and breakfast was great. Oatmeal packets with no hot water, and black coffee yum. If I could give zero stars I would. Oh I almost forgot. There was black mold in the freezer.

This hotel is a connection with American Cancer Society. If your social worker recommends this place or American Cancer Society, DO NOT come here. I came here before my surgery day, I thought I would relax. Front desk lady was rude, doors are broken, 3 lights don’t work in the room, sink drain was broken. I am already anxious about my surgery and this was not the way I wanted to relax. I guess I won’t be sleeping tonight!

Long-term guests should carefully consider this property. I stayed at this Extended Stay America location for several months while on a work assignment. During my stay, I encountered an ongoing roach problem that persisted even after I reported it and was moved to a different room. The issue was documented with photos and videos, and management was made aware. Although I received a room change and a one-night credit, the pest problem continued. After escalating the matter through Guest Relations, I was informed that pest control would be scheduled on the day following my departure. The most frustrating part of this experience was not the initial discovery of roaches, but the lack of an effective resolution despite repeated reports over several months. Travelers, especially those planning extended stays, should be aware of this experience when making their decision. I sincerely hope the property addresses these concerns and improves conditions for future guests.
