Cypress Inn On Miramar Beach

We spent one night in room 3 and loved it so much. The Inn was beautiful, the location incredible, staff was great, we loved the happy hour. Bed was so comfortable and shower was great.

My wife and I returned to Sacramento on Tuesday from a thoroughly-rejuvenating two-day getaway to Half Moon Bay, a place that continues to offer its special brand of magic year after year. This trip we stayed for our first time at the Cypress Inn on Miramar Beach. From the moment we were checked in by Isaac, with his professional manner and friendly personal vibes, we knew it was going to be a special experience. In fact, we had a hard time leaving the wonderful 2nd floor, ocean-overlooking room we lodged in there. The Cypress Inn treats its guests like royalty, and our room included a full hot breakfast delivered to our room, and a nightly Happy Hour spread that was mouth-watering just to look at, accompanied by an open wine bar. On both nights, before leaving for dinner, we enjoyed a small plate of appetizers (charcuterie, cheese, marinated artichoke hearts, veggies and dip, crackers, olives, and more — so tasty!) and wine and made easy acquaintances with several other guests, all of whom enjoyed a highly sociable Happy Hour (actually 5-7 pm nightly), courtesy of the Cypress Inn. During our stay we crossed paths several times with Cypress Inn Manager Kristin Diaz — a manager who is among the cream of the crop of hospitality professionals. She was so helpful, personable, and eager to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. And it surely was. Leaving our second-floor room’s slider open slightly led to several incredibly restful nights of sleep, thanks to the nearby soft crashing of ocean waves on the sand. What a treat that was, to be gently lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean waves from just across the street. We will return to the Cypress Inn on our next getaway to Half Moon Bay. Between the luxury and comfort of the inn’s guest rooms, combined with the amazing food, dining, and shopping opportunities between Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay, we will always return home thinking of our next excuse to come back to the Cypress Inn on Miramar Beach. The 180 degree ocean view from our room, las nubes (8), was incredible. room is very spacious for two people. The sitting area with couch and chair and coffee table was ideal for meeting with visitors. The breakfast choices were nice, a lot to choose from and the specials were all good that we tried. The staff is friendly and very accommodating and I mean ALL the staff. This is our 7th or 8th visit here and the service has remained consistent. Also, during each visit we have seen whales, dolphins or porpoises, seals and different types of birds. I like the homier feel of the Inn and even when it is booked it never feels crowded. I like having the beach access and the short walk to a nice restaurant. The evening reception followed by cookies has always been one of the highlights due to the quality of the beverages and food. This is more of a be aware to other travelers, if you book las nubes you will have stairs to the 3rd floor. I have some trouble with stairs so I always ask one of the staff members for help. I plan on going here twice a year until I can't!
