Harbor View Inn was a nice surprise! I booked it online only a few weeks prior and picked it partly because it was one of the only places left in my price range near HMB. The location was great, even though it’s on the north side just outside HMB proper. The room was updated and very clean and the bathroom was a good size. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and the room was secure. My only complaint would be that I could easily hear my upstairs neighbors, but that’s probably to be expected. I would definitely stay here again.

A few miles north of Half Moon Bay. Clean room but we did see a few ants. Noise level was marginal. Could hear talking in adjacent room. Also toilets flushing and showers running. Location was good with easy access a few nearby places to eat. Overall value was OK. An unexpected bonus was USB A and USB C charging ports at the desk and bedside. Another nice touch: there was a gas fireplace in the room but we didn't try it out. Complimentary tea and coffee (including lattes, mochas and hot chocolate) is available from the machine in the lobby. Don't leave any food out in the room - we saw a couple of ants.

Not accommodating at all. The shower leaks tons of water onto the bathroom floor, puddles of water every time you shower flows throughout the entire bathroom floor. We had 3 nights booked and needed to change plans and stay 2 instead of three. What could have been a real opportunity to have returning customers, they would not allow the change. Even though it was more than 24 hours notice, she said we had to have notified them 48 hours before our 1st night. Sometimes with families plans need to change. This is a very small hotel and we come to Half Moon Bay often. Word of mouth can be a great advertising resource. Not only will we never stay here again, we’ll also deter our friends and family from staying here.
