The Waterfront Beach Resort a

This is our second time staying at this resort. The property is lovely, vast, multiple pools, clean and a great location. About a 15 minute walk to the pier and Main Street, right across the highway from the beach. The hotel offers beach equipment and toys on a first come first served basis. There are a few restaurants on site, all of which are great. Rooms are a great size, lots of room, clean with comfy beds and amazing pillows.Tighter bathrooms with low water pressure for showers…but of a zonk for us. We encountered a hiccup upon checking in this time, it was utter chaos in the lobby, rooms weren’t ready for quite a few of us checking in. Even past the “guaranteed “ 4pm room ready time! Kids crawling and running restlessly in the lobby. I was hit in the head by two boys playing soccer…in the lobby. This hotel misses a few opportunities to really shine at customer service. Each family waiting for their rooms to be ready past the 4pm mark should’ve been offered a complimentary meal at one of the restaurants, for Hilton members there should’ve also been an offer of points as an apology. We travel a lot so we certainly understand hotels being understaffed and overbooked and housekeeping doing their best to keep up with room turnovers. The hotel management could do better with how they manage these moments and how they appease guests. We also had an issue in our room when trying to connect our Roku stick. The mounted TV doesn’t pull forward so it takes a lot of finagling to get your hand behind the tv to find the input socket. We were starting to tick the boxes for not coming back to this property again when we went to the pool and enjoyed a beautiful interaction with Selina. Selina was such a delight and a real hustler, hard worker, she kept a high service standard all throughout the very hot days. Jimmy was our food server alongside Selina and was great also…what a cheerful demeanor and great smile.. and quick service. These staff members, and the fantastic team at Cabo Wabo Beach Club, under the direction of Janet V, were simply incredible…and swayed my husband back to loving this place! The pool security guards were friendly and informative and respectfully firm about pool rules and safety, I appreciate that. Last missed opportunity are the pool cabanas. From what I read on the hotel website the family beds are $250 per day and full cabana is $500… but both come with nothing! Most resorts will have a mini fridge filled with water and soft drinks, a selection of snacks/charcuterie trays to select from and at least a bottle of wine or pitcher of beer all included in the cabana rental price. Come on Hilton, give a little to get a lot back! Folks will spend more on additional food and drinks as the day goes on. This might explain why over a 7-day stay I only ever saw one family rent a cabana or bed! Grievances aside the resort is a nice one, great location, good rooms, good food and like most places the best staff are in housekeeping and food service. Thank you all for working as hard as you do!

So clean and pretty. Food and drinks was decent price, not as expensive as casino hotels. Go early and get your pool chairs cause plp get greedy, I’ve seen plp holding like 10 chairs for more then 1 hr. Other than that, hotel is too notch. Also our pool waitress “Kelly” was so nice and pleasant. She made that pool day a great one

Upon checking in, we were greeted with champagne glasses while entering the lobby. Unfortunately, we declined because our little one wanted one, too. Maybe also offer mocktail versions for kids in the future? Just a thought. Otherwise, our stay was truly lovely. The ocean views from our suite were beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The dining options, both casual and formal, were plentiful. The Huntington Beach area was very walkable to local shops and restaurants, too. Would definitely stay here again.
