The room is spacious, comfortable and serves well for a stay. However, the carpet needs to be replaced, as it has a very strong and unpleasant smell.
Breakfast is basic, but the items offered are enough to start the day.
The location is convenient, though do not stay near the center-strand to walk. By car, the journey takes about 7 minutes, which makes access easy.

This place has it all...outstanding service, great location, cleanliness, and fun vibes! We stayed here over the weekend when we came up for the Beach Life Music Festival in Redondo.
Most important to us is always the Guest Service aspect of the stay, and this property delivered! At check-in, Randy and Khaj were super friendly, helpful, and treated us to an amazing room upgrade (they definitely take good care of BonVoy status members). We were upgraded to an incredible suite!
This Residence Inn is so close & convenient to everything. The Beach is walking distance, great restaurants and all kinds of shopping are close by, and it was a short, easy Uber ride for us down to Redondo where the concert was. There was a really fun energy on the property this weekend which added to the experience.
Also important to note...rooms, lobby, and breakfast area were all very clean (and the food was good). This was our 2nd year in a row staying here for the Beach Life Festival...and we will definitely be back next year too!

I don't like writing this review because I usually have pleasant stays at Marriott properties. This one is an exception.
This stay was for a vacation. I switched last minute from a Hilton reservation to this Marriott property because I stay with them for business 30-40 nights a year. Shortly after booking, I get a notification that I had been upgraded to a better room. Nice! I thought my loyalty was being recognized. Just hours before arriving I get an odd email from their Director of Sales, Donna, stating my request for an upgrade was not available. Odd, I did not request the upgrade and I know that other room was available because I was contemplating it when making the reservation. I was feeling a type of way but I was resolute enough to try and not let it bother me.
Check-in: A long unnecessary, multi signature waiver was required for the stay. Also, I got a notice that renovations were to be completed during my stay! What!? Now, I have to plan for an invasion of privacy? Who's going to be in my room?? A picture of the letter is attached. I had to read it twice, I couldn't believe they wanted to perform renovations while guests were staying in the room.
Parking: $28 a day. I really don't have an issue with charges for parking. I knew of it before hand and calculated it into my budget. But... the sizes of the parking stalls are insanely small. Not too crazy if you don't mind your neighbors brushing against your car as they get in and out of theirs. Multiple cars are straddling or taking two spots, they are that small.
Rooms: They were clean, can't knock them for that. If you need extra towels, walk to the front desk because they will not show up if you call for them or ask for them in your reservation in lieu of house keeping.
Customer Service: Donna is not sincere in her communications or apologies. She does like to use the word sincerely though. She said her front desk communicated to me when they hadn't and that I made requests that I had not. Her communications irritated me for several days during my vacation. I was equally annoyed at her repeated invitation to stay again. For what? The same experience?
I almost forgot. Night Auditor, Sunny, emailed me at 4:51 AM, the day of check-in, saying my reservation was going to be canceled because a $1 charge was not going through. This was a first at a Marriott. I noticed this email two days into my stay. A phone call for this communication seems more appropriate.
This place could be great, but if you want peace of mind during your vacation, look for other properties. I was so annoyed during this stay I reached out to their corporate office, a first for me. Only then did Donna reach out by phone. My room was only a few hundred feet away, she could have stopped by with the renovation crew.
I truly regret canceling my Hilton reservation just down the road. Don't make the same mistake I did.
