Motel 6 Lodi

My husband and I just completed our second stay at the Motel 6 on Cherokee Lane, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. What truly sets this location apart is the exceptional front desk team. Jenny, Julie, and Martin are absolute gems—professional, personable, remarkably polite, and genuinely warm. You can tell they sincerely love animals, which made traveling with our pet such a joy. Speaking of pets, while the motel is wonderfully pet-friendly, you would never know it by the rooms. There is zero pet odor whatsoever—everything is fresh, clean, and well-maintained. The property also features ample outdoor space that is perfect for walking dogs, along with a great BBQ spot in the back of the complex to relax. If you’re traveling cross-country in an RV, they even have space to park it while you enjoy a comfortable room! The location is ideal and centrally situated right next to grocery and convenience stores, making quick errands a breeze. While they don't serve breakfast, fresh coffee is provided every morning until 10:00 AM. Just a quick tip for future travelers: soap is the only toiletry provided in the room, so be sure to pack your own shampoo and personal essentials. We love this property and will definitely continue coming back. Highly recommended!

Others are right when they say the rooms are clean and spacious! I agree one hundred percent. Upon checking in the front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind. At the time of check in my husband and I had no idea we’d end up staying a total of 6 days. So three nights were paid for at that time. We were asked about pets and we told the gal we had dogs. She told us where the dog potty areas are on the property. She then gave us our room keys to room 248. Upon first thoughts we were really pleased and thankful to be in a room after a long stressful day. Those first three days were relaxed and we felt completely blessed to have found a great place to stay until our new home was ready for us to move in. At the end of the third day we paid for an additional night for the following night. Again we were waiting for our home to be ready for move in- we had just been kicked out from the house we were renting that belongs to my husbands family. The family decided they wanted to turn our home into a place of business. So we were forced to move if you can imagine that stress and then being in a hurry to find a new rental was complete madness. We just wanted somewhere to stay hassle free until our new home was ready. The fourth day comes around and we found out our home still needed a couple more days before it would be ready so I went ahead and paid for two more nights at the motel. At first the staff was nice! But then they turned into a nightmare! Harassing us and making us feel uncomfortable. Starting with a the from desk calling my room phone stating I had to have to have my room cleaned today and I had no choice. So with short notice we gathered our dogs and put leashes on them. My kids got shoes on and we went and sat on the stairs for 25 min in the heat while she cleaned our room.( my husband still had to go to work everyday)Ive always heard stories from friends and family about house keeping snooping through their belongings so it made me uncomfortable the entire time being that all of our belongings were out in the room. Secondly their is a security camera right in the corner outside our room door and I’m entirely sure with our curtain opened or if we open our room door hotel staff can see into our room. That feels as if it’s invasive. They could turn the camera a little more pointing down the hall rather than more towards our window and door. It’s like the only room in our building that had a camera facing a room. On the evening of the fourth night we joined up with friends of ours who happened to be paying guest in another room kids at the pool so they could swim with my kids. During our short time at the hot tub and pool my cell phone rings and it’s the front desk. My husband answered the phone the lady proceeded to say you didn’t tell me you have kids. Mind you the website says kids under 17 stay free with a paying adult family member. Also the day we checked in that same lady saw our kids with us as they needed to use the restroom. Anyway my husband told her yes we have kids, she then stated your guest are not allowed to swim at the pool. My husband tried to tell her the other kids with us were actually other paying guest children but the lady didn’t listen and hung up the phone. The duration of our pool visit before it closed the front desk lady would shout out how much time until closing and it completely ruined our entire time. We were paying guest who paid for a 6 night stay. We were not loud, we respected the rules, cleaned up after our dogs where as I had seen many other motel guest in which would take their dog to go potty and after their dog would go potty they would just walk away. I witnessed other motel guest smoking right at their room door when walking by, same guest on multiple occasions and being that it was multiple times I’m assuming motel staff never called them to harass them about it. But my husband lit his cigarette right in front to walk two steps around the corner to the designated smoking area and the staff called me to the office to humiliate me in front of other motel guest just to tell me that my husband can’t have a lit cigarette by our door but he needs to take two steps to the right and that would be ok! We felt harassed! As guest who were quiet, clean, followed the rules, and who also spent a good amount of money to their place of work we expected a little more hospitality and kindness! I’ll never recommend a stay here to anyone. The only good thing is the pool is nice! Coffee in lobby until 10 but the coffee is watered down so it’s not recommended if you could really use a good pick me up cup of coffee. I’m not one to complain but as a guest who paid a good amount to stay somewhere it’s upsetting to be made to feel uncomfortable!

I wasn't sure about staying at a Motel 6, this one was great. Friendly and helpful at check in. The room was very neat, clean, and a comfortable bed. They have been updating. I would absolutely stay here again. Within walking distance of a couple of places to eat.
