Travel Eagle Inn Motel

My wife and I both liked this place. But be warned, it’s not for everybody. This review will explain why this place, overall, has low ratings. First of all, the good things: this place was clean. The bed linens were changed every night we were there. The maid service is wonderful. The A/C worked perfectly well and was not too noisy. The TV was great too. No problems with the stations or the remote. The place does look like it SHOULD be unclean. You can tell that there is no rhyme or reason to the decor. In fact, there is NO decor. Picture asking a 10 year old to patch a hole in the wall and then repaint it. And then you notice that the paint doesn’t match. Come to think of it, neither do the floor tiles. That’s EXACTLY what it looks like there. You don’t stay here if you are high maintenance or to impress people. But if you want a clean place to stay, then the Travel Eagle Inn Motel is perfect. We plan to stay there again.

I booked a stay at this hotel in February for the weekend of the Long Beach Grand Prix in April to take my son for his 16th birthday. The hotel had asked when we would arrive I said between 8-9pm, at 5:00 they cancelled my reservation after trying to charge my credit card which had money, but the name on it was Cynthia and the name on the reservation Cindi. No phone call. I called the hotel and booking.com whom I’d gone through and no one was of help. The hotel desk said “it could be fraud” because of the different names. I told him he just wanted to charge a higher rate to someone at the desk last minute. I

Not your typical luxury stay but for overnighters the bed is clean, the bathroom is spacious and it is conveniently located down the street from the cruise terminal. The hotel manager checks you in from behind a glass window where there are numerous rules written on a poster “no prostitution allowed” being one of them. We made it through the night!
