Azul Inn

We go to LA quite often since we live 2 hours away, and try a lot of hotels, this was a pleasant surprise, a former travel lodge turned into a lovely little boutique hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms are smaller, but thoughtfully and efficiently laid out. Our 2 nights were quiet, yes the hotel sits in front of Santa Monica Blvd, so some traffic noise can be heard, but not a bother to us. The morning breakfast was a nice touch, just enough to get your day started and sitting out in their spacious patio area/garden was great. We will definitely stay again, clean comfortable rooms with affordable rates.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and I must say that we were super satisfied. Modern facility, well-furnished with fairly spacious rooms, very clean and equipped with every comfort (minibar, basket with snacks, TV, bathrobe, air conditioning, hair dryer, and courtesy kit). Fairly quiet location even if a bit far from points of interest, fortunately there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Small but functional and clean gym, parking availability at $33/day, very friendly and always available staff. I also appreciated the presence of the night guard to ensure the safety of the hotel and the parked vehicles. The only flaw in my opinion was the breakfast: although the quality was very good, unfortunately there was little choice (1 option for drinks and 2 choices between savory and sweet). I am a fan of buffet breakfasts; I understand that the spaces here are a bit more restricted, but the selection was a bit meager.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely come back.
