Magic Castle Hotel

Massive shout out to the manager Kevin and staff member Kit. You guys make our stay incredible 🤍 Location is fantastic so close to Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame, Family rooms are spacious with full kitchen facilities. The rooms are clean and tidy. The kids love to use the Popsicle Hotline whist swimming in the pool, a highlight of their time there and something they will both never forget. The staff remembering their names makes it that much special. Good vibes all round. Thanks for having us, from your Aussie Friends 🤍

As a person who has stayed at many hotels, the Magic Castle is without a doubt a very unique travel experience. As local LA residents, we booked our stay because of the included entry tickets to the Magic Castle next door. The location of the hotel is excellent, with literally a two minute walk to the Castle (we were told they offer a shuttle if we needed it, but it wasn't necessary.) The location of the hotel was also walking distance to many of the Hollywood sights, like Grauman's Chinese theater and Hollywood Blvd, so I can see it being an attractive location for tourists. We drove ourselves there, and were happy to see that there was gated parking for free under the hotel, with plenty of spots to choose from. The hotel appears to have once been an old LA apartment converted into a now motel. It looked like many of the rooms had kitchens, living rooms, etc. but since we were there for only the night, we booked the cheapest option which was the Queen Room. We were a bit surprised upon entry into the room. It's definitely very dated. The furniture seemed new'ish, but the room was quite small, dark, with a tiny window -- and a loud old fashioned AC unit. The bathroom also was quite small, was very beat looking, with a large stain under the toilet, peeling paint front the toilet seat, and a strong sulphur smell anytime we turned the shower water on. It did appear clean, but the room could use a renovation for sure. And for the steep charge of over $300/night, the room didn't seem to meet those prices. Upon saying that, the amenities of this hotel, must be what wins people over. There is unlimited ice cream, soda machine, champagne upon check-in, the popsicle hotline, and 24 hour a day snacks and candy! I have never in my life stayed at a place, where you can just walk up to the front desk and be handed over candy bars, cookies, and chips all day. For kids, this hotel is definitely a win. They also have free laundry offered. Also, a huge shout out to the staff as well. Literally everyone working there was not just helpful, but genuinely nice, enthusiastic, and accommodating in every way possible. Maybe even the friendliest staff we have ever encountered in all of our travels. Overall, If you can overlook the dated motel vibes, and want to enjoy a unique experience with unlimited snacks and pool, then this place is for you. But I think with a little updating and renovation, this hotel could really knock it out of the park.

Great hotel. We Had booked it for 4 nights and I find that there is Really something special about this hotel, it's The atmosphere and the welcome. The Breakfast is complimentary (not grand but Very decent for starting the day well if you compare it with Some motel breakfasts you will definitely find something that suits you. Not Far from the Walk of Fame, not Far from metro or bus transportation which allowed us To Get around well (Academy of Motion Pictures, Beverly Hills, downtown, The Broad, the observatory) and there is also a parking lot. Magic tricks at breakfast, snacks AT will, unlimited sodas as well as ice cream By calling from the phone at the pool, free self-service laundry, housekeeping done every day which is not the case in the more expensive hotels in Las Vegas that we stayed at afterward! Classic movies shown in the evening, life jackets, balls, and sunscreen around the pool. A supermarket not far away where we were able to go grocery shopping on foot. The The only real downside is the air conditioning, it must date back to the 1980s and makes the noise of a vacuum cleaner but it works. A large apartment with a large fridge, an oven, and a stovetop to save on expenses. A nice living room, the whole Family enjoyed the very special atmosphere of this hotel where everything is done so that everyone has a good time without restriction!
