Rodeway Inn Hollywood

The reviews and pictures do not do this motel any justice. It has clearly been modernised and renovated, and we loved our stay here. We had 2 large double beds in a huge room, with equally huge bathroom. Everything was clean, and beds were comfy. The only slight negatives were the towels weren’t great quality, and there was no ice machine. However for the price we paid, it was perfect. Great location, and for the 12 hours we were there it suited us. Would def recommend for a budget motel. Note- website says parking is free but it’s $15.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Horrible experience from check-in to check-out. The rooms and bathrooms were filthy and smelled awful. We were three guests but only received two towels. When we asked for more, the staff was extremely rude. The photos on the website are completely misleading. The bed was uncomfortable and housekeeping didn’t even clean the room once. The bathroom was disgusting, full of cobwebs, and flooded every time we took a shower. There are cheaper hotels in the same area that are far superior. Fuja deste hotel! Experiência horrível do check-in ao check-out. Quartos e banheiros totalmente sujos e fedidos.

BED BUGS We booked this property because it seemed to be the most convenient option near to the major sites. However, everything about this property is terrible. Our original room seemed adequate when we arrived however we soon realised the bed was covered in bed bugs. When we went to speak to the manager about this, he told us that there were no bed bugs in his motel and to show him proof, which we then told him to check the room. He told us nothing could be done and that he found no bed bugs, there was one last room available which he moved us to. This second room had no chain lock, the AC was broken, the toilet window would not close and backed onto a side street and due to the fact there was no lock, the janitor walked into our room at 9am the next morning uninvited disturbing us. After everything we cut our stay short from 3 days to 2 despite no chance of a refund from the manager. We spent the following 2 weeks washing and re washing our clothes and dealing with multiple bed bug bites during our travels. I would have given even some kudos if they hadn't lied about the bed bugs and offered some kind of refund for our last night but they clearly did not care. It is not worth the convenience of the location to deal with all that, not to mention the area itself does not feel safe. Do yourself a favour and pay a little extra to avoid this mess of a motel.
