Sunshine Suites at The Piero

We jagged 1 night with booking.com called "Angle Apartment" which is in part "within" the complex of Piero Apartments. By comparison to staying 3-nights near the pool in the Old Section it was like chalk & cheese. All the Beds were made Owner was brilliant Everything worked No noise when you turned on the water Very little noise, No view of pool (downside) or street Modern by comparison. Safe Extra pillows One street over from the Main Entrance in S Bixel

My son booked PIERO, for our family tour of five persons, Place was Comfortable, neighbourhood was good.with all types of grocery and food available in walking distance. The view from the balcony was beautiful.and clean.

HORRIBLE! By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had - and I stay in hotels around the world (including 3rd world) for business or vacation about 50% of the year, and am not a particularly difficult person to please. Here are just a few examples of how bad this place is: 1- DIRTY - the carpet was disgusting, bathrooms not very clean. There was even leftover bits of food near the sofa and a big wad of chewed gum and a potato chip on the kitchen sink. The old towels looked like they had not been washed. 2- SMELLY - an awful stench pervades the place, probably from the old, filthy carpet 3- DILAPIDATED - in desperate need of renovation. even the coffee-maker was broken 4- NOISY - overlooks the freeway 5- TERRIBLE SERVICE - this is not a real hotel but there should be a minimum of service! For example: we had to wait 20 minutes for the manager to arrive to check us in, despite having emailed and called; he insisted I fill out ALL my credit card details and sign a piece of paper (which no-one should do); wrong amount charged to my credit card; only one key for a 2-room appt, and the manager had to be reminded multiple times before bringing a spare 2 days later; security guards seldom at their post (we had to wait 30 min for them in order to give them our keys to "check out"); they never sent me the invoice promised... The only redeeming features are the practical location near downtown and the surprisingly nice gym. I wished I had believed the negative comments before booking this place, instead of thinking they were just from picky, hard-to-please customers. They were right: this place is terrible!
