Alpenhof Lodge

Love this place! It's not fancy. But it's warm and innviting. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is so much to do, even if you don't leave the premises. Games, jacuzzi, meeting spots, the Clocktower restaurant and bar, pool tables, foosball... I highly recommend it!

This was my second stay at the Alpenhof Lodge, and it definitely won’t be my last. While you can certainly find more luxury stays in town, it more than makes up for it with genuine charm and hospitality. You really can't beat the location, it’s a perfect crash pad after a long day on the mountain. Being just a 5-minute walk to the village gondola is a total game-changer; not having to deal with driving or parking at the base saves so much stress. Plus, they do an incredible job keeping the parking lot plowed even after heavy snow. For the price and the convenience, it’s easily the best deal in Mammoth. Looking forward to returning next year!

A quaint old-time village atmosphere close to the Village Gondola and a few shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking with attached bar. Only downsides were a very small jacuzzi/hot tub and lack of full service restaurant (the Cellar bar does serve some food, but the former restaurant, now closed, was WAY overpriced, so...).
