Motel 6 Manteca

When I travel alone, I try to be frugal. Motel 6 is in my price range. This location is a classic closed motor court style with only one way in/out. Decent design. The clerk I checked in with and the next that I checked out with the following morning were professional and plesant. The room was well used. The sink counter was a good simulated stone showing no damage. I wish the table next to the bed was made of the same material. It showed quite a bit of what looked like cigarette heat damage to the finish along with general impact damage. The bed was a typical "last a long time" stiff affair although I slept well on it---when I slept. The neighbors came home at around 10pm and blasted music until about 11:45. Because they were yelling abouve the bluetooth boom speaker they had, I counted 6 or seven distinct male and female voices sharing the room. I slept well until 3:30 when they all got up to prepare for work, and what better to serenade thier effort but more blasting music with yelling over the top of it. This lasted another 45 minutes before they fired up their cars and headed out. As hard as the mattress was, I did sleep well on it and had no aches when I woke naturally around 8am. Clenliness was ok. Most budget motels don't clean corners well and repaints usually don't bother to not paint over the outlet covers. This motel was no exception. It would be nice to see some TV and towel mountings that showed a little more design than something that would have looked at home on an episode of Peewee's playhouse. The heavy gauge window was cracked in a semi circle shape with the smaller section slightly offset from the larger. Nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. I didn't need the microwave but the refridgerator kept my water bottles cold. The neighborhood did not feel threatening and the hotel location was near the main street, Yosemite Ave and all services. If Motel 6 coud find a way to police some of it's clientele toward some manner of stewardship of the room they occupy, I'm sure they could bring themselves out from the lower levels of customer perception and more into the mainstream of favorable opinion. This particular location wasn't their worst, but I wouldn't bring my family to this one either. After all, as the title proclaims,...

Updated rooms comes with microwave and fridge.. The management is really nice also the neighborhood is not the greatest but everyone keeps to themself motel 6 is way cheaper then the best western next door and the holiday inn across the street..

I booked this for my husband and son for an away soccer tournament. My husband won't give it a rest how bad my choice was. Wet rolled up shower towels and a toilet that didn't work AND that was in the 2nd room they were moved into! The first room had issues as well. No complaints about the staff, but for function and sanitation this is a NO GO!
