Monterey Fireside Lodge

My review is —99… Run far away from this place, spiders crawling up in the sink and bathtub has not been cleaned in months.. What an embarrassment for the Monterey hospitality industry

An absolute dump. Can’t believe that I’m this day and age a place like this is legal. Grey towels and linen. Filthy windows and floors. Should have slept in the car. Paid 250 dollars because we were desperate.

I know there are a lot of poor reviews for this place, and I had great hesitant in staying here but I have to say that my partner and I felt very welcomed as though family. The rooms are still with traditional keys and furniture is outdated, but I don’t come to Monterey stay in my hotel room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The room was clean and the owner was so kind and welcoming. We brought our bikes last minute and we were going to just put them in our room, but the owners insisted in letting us keep them in their private garden!!! The family was kind and easy to get along with and make jokes. Only an easy mile bike ride to the center of every thing. I will absolutely come back.
