Morro Crest Inn

Our bathroom flooded from the one above us and they gave us no option to move rooms so we barely slept in fear that the bathroom ceiling was going to collapse with water. We had to ask for rags and the manager didn’t even come in the room to see how extensive the damage was. They offered our money back and then turned around the next morning and stated that they would only refund $35 (it was $220 for the night) because it “wasn’t their fault” and that we should have left at midnight when it happened to receive a refund (though we weren’t told that at the time). Not only were we not told that is what would need to happen to get our money back, we had a 5 year old and 7 year old with us who were asleep and tried to call 10 other hotels to see if they had rooms and no one did so we literally had nowhere to go except to sleep in our car. We also left at 7 in the morning to get out before disaster occurred. They offered a free night on a weekday in the winter which is not comparable to a Friday night in the summer. Do not stay at this hotel. The worst experience I’ve ever had and even though the owner could have done the right thing, he doubled down and insisted that they would not give us our money back.

Nice little motel. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Reasonably priced. Clean room and friendly staff. Notify them if you are checking in past 6:30 pm. Fridge and microwave in room. Beds comfy. Good wifi. Not super fancy but a nice place to stay.

There are a lot of motel choices here, we agreed with the above average rating from reviews, they do have thin wall as most older motels, other than that everything is fine, clean and tidy, Vicky who checked us in is very personalable, Enjoyed our one night here, and we shall return!
