Best Western Elm House Inn

The hotel fixtures are old and dated. The lamps have not working USB ports. Very hard to charge multiple devices with outdated or non working electrical outlets. Had selected a room choice but given something different upon arrival. Was told I could check back the next day or so for choice room. We decided to stay put. Didn't want to pack up then unpack. The room spa was not operable. The breakfast was not desirable, yogurt parfait and breakfast sandwich. The coffee and juice were great. They have a well-maintained coutyard garden with multiple fountains. We received no cleaning service on the 3rd day out of 4 night stay. Not sure why were overlooked. The front desk clerk made up non sense excuses like a sign being on the door but that was untrue. I liked the location of the hotel being close to downtown.

If you’re looking for a welcoming, solo-traveler-friendly stay in Napa, I highly recommend the Elm House Inn. After spending the afternoon exploring downtown, I arrived at the inn around 4:00 PM and was immediately struck by the peaceful atmosphere—it felt like the perfect choice. The check-in process was seamless, handled by a young man who was both kind and efficient. The Amenities: Thoughtful Extras: I loved the convenience of the small fridges located between floors, stocked with individual bags of ice. 24/7 Coffee: Available in the lobby/breakfast area at any hour. The Courtyard: The rear courtyard is beautifully landscaped. It was the highlight of my stay to sit in the sun with a morning coffee and a book. Breakfast: The menu rotated during my two-night stay, offering a solid mix of hot items (waffles, eggs, sausage) and cold options (yogurt, fruit). The Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, even while sitting out in the courtyard, which made it easy to plan my daily itineraries. My room was so spacious, it was like living in a condo. The room was clean with floral scents, had a in-room coffee maker, refrigerator, and fire-place. The Room & Sleep Quality: Overall, I slept very well. However, be aware that rooms at the front of the property do pick up some street noise—mostly the occasional roar of a sports car or motorcycle. While I could hear neighbors in the hallway or the room above, everything settled down nicely after 10:00 PM. If you are a light sleeper, I’d suggest requesting a room toward the back of the property or on the first floor to minimize the street noise and footsteps. Location: The inn is in a great spot for neighborhood strolls. The inn is only about a 5-minute drive (or a pleasant 20-minute walk) from the heart of downtown Napa’s tasting rooms and restaurants. Parking is free, and there is a Lucky grocery store just a five-minute drive away. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe walking the neighborhood and relaxing in the common areas, which isn't always the case at larger, more impersonal hotels. I will definitely be returning on my next Napa trip!

We stayed here for 1 night and found it convenient, walkable to downtown Napa. The bed and pillows were great and breakfast had more variety than expected. Our only complaint was the location of our room, as it was right off the lobby, so noise from the breakfast area could be heard. It also was on a busy street, adding to the noise.
