Chardonnay Lodge

DO NOT STAY HERE — Very Disappointing Experience We were extremely disappointed when we arrived at the Chardonnay Lodge. The online listing was, in our opinion, very misleading and did not accurately represent what we experienced. The property is right on Jefferson Street, and the traffic noise was significant. Not being in Napa before, we had no idea the location would be this bad. Looking back at the listing photos, we noticed that many were tight close-ups that didn’t really give you a sense of the overall property or its surroundings. The High School is across the street and over a block, adding to the traffic and foot traffic. The listing also advertises an on-property vineyard. Technically, there is one, but it is tiny and certainly not what we imagined based on the description. Our room was clean, which I will give them credit for, but it was very small, dated, and not particularly comfortable. The air conditioner was right next to the bed, so I was either freezing or had to turn it off. It was also extremely loud—although ironically, the noise helped drown out some of the traffic from Jefferson Street. Another odd note: they had a bathrobe, just one, even though the bed was a double or small queen. The view from our bathroom window was of what appeared to be a work/storage yard behind the lodge, which definitely didn't add to the "Napa wine country" experience we were expecting. We were so disappointed that we decided not to stay our second night. I asked the property to refund us for that unused night, but they refused. I understand that not every hotel is going to be luxurious, but our issue was the difference between how this property was presented online and what we actually found when we arrived. Had the listing and photos given us a more accurate picture of the property, we would have booked somewhere else. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Chardonnay Lodge and would not stay here again.

Stayed here after Bottlerock and was perfect. Clean room, quiet and comfy beds! Would stay here again. Didn’t feel price gouged due to Bottlerock weekend. Was quiet and perfect night stay :)

The rooms were nice. Air conditioning was a bit noisy to sleep with when on, however very effective. Very clean and friendly staff.
