Pirate Cove Resort & Marina

We are boaters, it’s nice to have a very easy dock and go to a restaurant and know nobody will touch anything on your boat while you’re eating. The food has gotten better over the years. They always try to mix up different kinds of music. Service are always friendly and we have a very mixed age group with our family and friends. When you’re done, you can go to one of the sandiest beaches around and hang out. The $35 fee is so small if it is even collected. Whenever you need to pay it, it should be part of the boating experience. Most of these boats are pretty expensive. It’s great to have somewhere to hang out and have lunch after a great trip up river

Worst place to come too, always a headache . Front office is rude, left us with bolders on beachfront, no sidewalk, no launched chairs and a 2700 bill. Julie the manager is the worst manager to speak to no help whatsoever. Don’t waste your money

This was the 3rd time Trip Advisor reviews have been somewhat worrying about an upcoming trip, and the 3rd time we’ve had an amazing time! If you read the resort’s policies and fees ahead of time, you won’t be surprised when you get there. Yes there were fees for things; $20 per “toy” (boat, ATV) and marina storage fees. If you weren’t staying at the resort, you had to pay a $35 day fee to beach your boat and hang out on the property. I totally understand why they do that, since you’re using their bathrooms and hopefully, their garbage cans. We had an amazing time! Our two sets of neighbors were respectful of quiet hours, security and office staff were friendly and helpful. The views were amazing, the restaurant was delicious (I highly recommend any of their drinks on the “Bucket List”), and the store had a great selection. After this trip, we’ll be making it a yearly vacation. I really don’t get some of these negative reviews, but maybe we are just more laid back vacationers. Make your reservation and go!
