Newport Beach Marriott

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!!!! from the front staff (Betsy, Stacy, Bailey, Whitney) to the hard working pool staff (Dylan cleaning eyeglasses) to our wonderful waitor at breakfast (Jay) and finally Matias bellman…we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property not far from SNA airport, across the street from Fashion Island to not far from Balboa Island…the room was modern and well appointed….it was perfect…..my only small suggestion would be to have better signage to the rooms because at times the property felt like a maze! Can’t wait to return 😊

Your choices for really good hotels around here are actually limited and everything is at exorbitant prices. So within that range, the Vea is always still my favorite. Yes it’s pricey but the location is fantastic and the pool is awesome. Staff and service can be hit or miss, but I will continue to choose this hotel when I come to Newport!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The rooms are so small you can hardly fit in it. The front staff told us that it would be a few minutes to check us in but ended to be over an hour. We asked for upgrade as we have a lot of points but they refused. The valet is pricey and the valet staff are not always helpful. Most don't even bother to open or close your car door for you. Not sure why they charge so much for it though. The cleaning staff were terrible. The room smelled like pee. The 4 nights we were there we got a different cleaning lady each time. They would not even bother vacuuming the room. They did not restock the toilet paper or tissues. The only thing good about the hotel was its location. Probably would try another hotel the next time.
