Oakhurst Lodge

We checked in late evening for one night. Receptionist was friendly. We had two queen beds on the ground floor which was handy for bringing in cases. No plug for the bath so showered our son. Basic but clean bathroom with big counter space. Also had a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and hair dryer. Good for one night on the way to Yosemite. We were offered breakfast free but didn't have time. We would stay here again.

Doubt between bad and average. It's dated and the carpeting is filthy. As a result, the 165 euros paid by us is too high for what you get. The problem is, there's actually no alternative near Yosemite Park. The host was friendly and breakfast by American standards okay. Beds good, hygiene moderate.

I stayed here with my dog for two nights in May 2025 (Room 54) and really hoped it would be a peaceful, pet-friendly stop near Yosemite. It wasn’t. There were raccoons going through the trash right outside our room, which kept my dog barking all night. I had to move the trash myself because no one was on-site to deal with it even though they advertise 24-hour reception. That’s just not okay when you’re traveling with a dog who needs to feel secure. The room itself was also in bad shape and there was feces on the toilet when we arrived, the A/C didn’t work, the chair was stained, and the floor felt sticky. We requested housekeeping using the door sign, but no one ever came. I had to go to the front desk to get towels myself. I tried to resolve this calmly and even followed up by email. Instead of replying, they quietly took $30 off the bill and said that’s all they could do. Honestly, if you’re traveling with a pet and want a clean, quiet, and safe space—this is not it.
