This review, unfortunately, is solely based on the awful experience I had with the assistant manager of the property, Mario. We checked in on a Monday afternoon and was offered the option of having a $20 credit for food and beverage every day during our stay due to me being a titanium elite member. We were handed one card with the verbiage $20 credit per day, the dates and our room number. Very cool, right? Well we surely took advantage and ordered a drink or two or a snack from the mini restaurant they had each night. When I went to check out, I noticed the credits weren’t applied so I brought it up to the person checking us out, who happened to be the assistant manager, Mario. I was then told that I needed to present that little card when I got my food/beverage or the credit wouldn’t apply. Now 1- I’ve never heard of this, at every hotel I’ve ever stayed at (and I have about 1800+ nights in hotels due to work, etc) I’ve never had to present a piece of paper to get a room credit for food- if you charge it to the room- it just comes off. After stating that I wasn’t aware of this as I wasn’t told this during check in upon receiving my little card- I was rebuffed with the statement “well, it’s obvious”. Nowhere on this little card, did it state that either. After being condescended to for the 3rd time, I had enough and stated I’d be mentioning him specifically when I get my usual surveys. Well, apparently he did not care- and even told me so staying specifically “go ahead, I’m not scared of that at all”. I was able to get one credit for $20 but guy wouldn’t budge on the other 2 days. I find this extremely frustrating as someone who’s a decades long loyal Marriott guy that this person was that rude and unprofessional- over $20. I even asked my wife, was that me? Thinking maybe I was talking like a jerk or something- her reply was no- not at all- until that guy started being a (blank). Quite a shame as the hotel itself was pretty decent. We come every year after stagecoach to lovely Palm Springs and usually stay at the Hilton down the steeet. I had some extra Marriott points so figured we’d give this a shot this time. Sadly, due to this individuals awful condescending personality- we will be revisiting the Hilton instead our next years.

Location is great. You are not far from the heart of shopping and restaurants on Indian Canyon Road. We were able to walk from hotel, but you will get your steps in (it's about a mile). Check in was quick and easy. We had a view of the pool from our room. Pool is nothing fancy, but we saw many families and kids having a good time. Fitness center is above average. Modern and working gym equipment with enough square footage for several people to exercise without center feeling crowded. Our room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Very standard set up for a Courtyard property.

The hotel is well-located, clean and well-maintained with comfortable rooms and some surprisingly good views. However, what really stands out is the staff. Keegan, Katie and the rest of the team really go out of their way to make stays memorable and to be helpful to customers whenever needed. Have stayed here a few times now, and looking forward to returning soon.
