PALM SPRINGS RENDEZVOUS

The Rendevous Hotel canceled our reservation and said our deposit would be returned in a week. Deposit Not returned. Ever. And Wells Fargo confirmed this. Non-responsive when called or texted. Used to be a nice place. New management is shady. Don't trust them with your money.

Run away. Entry looks like a scummy gang hideout. Years ago nice bnb. Now run down no service Airbnb type. No staff, just text or phone for help. Booked direct with property mon refundable. Very run down. Dark and creepy outside at night questionable neighborhood. Over 1 mile walk to museum and shops, no shade or services along route. Walking not advised. Posted business license expired 2 years ago may 2021. Torn front awning entry off dirt alleyway. See photos.

I had reserved a room and paid $448 prior to the pandemic. When the pandemic hit and everything shut down, I needed to cancel, as my reason for going to PS had evaporated. The Rendevous issued me a gift certificate for $448. I was able to use it to make a reservation in December 2022 for January 2023. The day before my arrival they cancelled my reservation due to construction, then reinstated it 2 hours later but would no longer honor the $448 gift certificate. The excuse was "new owners." In the State of CA gift certificates are not supposed to expire. I now have to take the new owners to small claims court.
