We would stay again. The room had been refurbished recently and was clean. Check-in was welcoming and answered all our questions. They did not have a wash cloth in the room and we did not have time to ask. Used the extra hand towel. Shower had good pressure. Breakfast had hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels, OJ, coffee, and frozen waffles. 1 mile from the Salinas Rodeo ground and safe at night to walk.

The Inn was not for us. It was as if the started renovating our room and then stopped. The room with the bed had nice floors, walls and ceilings. The bed itself was decent except the bed pedestal was made of some metal that every time you got near the bed you kicked it and it sounded like a gong. All the furniture had 1 knob to open the dresser drawers, one nightstand didn’t have any knobs. There was a stand next to the tv for a microwave and fridge but it was empty and a small microwave and small fridge were now in the sink area with a coffee maker on top of the microwave. There was a small wardrobe in the sink area also. This area looked like it had not been updated for 30 years. Next was the toilet/shower area, there was no exhaust fan so you had to open the window that didn’t have a screen, you had to adjust the device that stopped the window from from the outside. The bathtub/shower area had 1 bar to enter the area and no room for personal items but did have a shampoo and conditioner dispenser. The toilet wiggled when you sat on it and the toilet paper was very thin. The floor was very dirty so bring shower shoes. The pool looked decent but it was too cold. We did not try the continental breakfast. No problems with outside noise. When I checked out, they didn’t even ask me if I enjoyed my stay or please come back. Probably ideal for any traveling on a budget if you can adjust to any issues you have. Stay a night but not a week.

We were visiting Monterey, but because it was Car Week, everything was full up, so this was the closest place we could get rooms booked. Unfortunately both rooms were really not good enough in terms of cleanliness. I don't know if the place was short staffed or something... Both rooms had freshly made beds with clean sheets (or we'd have gone elsewhere), but my room had a big puddle of water in the bathroom and also what I at first thought was a centipede, but turned out to be a false eyelash :D and my friend's room has some actual trash on the carpet - little scraps of paper. It wasn't FILTHY, y'know, but it certainly wasn't clean. So I'd look elsewhere. It's a shame, because the website makes it look like a nice place and it has the potential to be better if they can resolve the housekeeping issues.
