Capri By the Sea

We stayed in room 607 at the Capri by the Sea in San Diego. The view was great since it was on the ocean. HOWEVER, the mattress and the All-Seasons Guest Relations personnel service were terrible! The "queen-size mattress" was two single-sized mattresses pushed together which resulted in mattresses that separated in the middle of the bed during the night. If you rolled over near the middle your hand/arm sank down into the crack. The mattresses actually were sloped down towards the crack. We arrived on Friday and were unable to sleep that night. We left a message for All Seasons on Saturday morning which was never returned. The All Seasons "representative" was not at his desk until Monday morning. We went down to the desk Monday morning and he was finally there. Unfortunately, he said there was nothing he could do. I know that there is a flexible fabric covered foam strip called a mattress joiner that is sold specifically for this purpose. All Seasons simply chooses to ignore the problem. In addition, the fitted sheets were too small for the combined twin mattresses and they popped off the corners of the mattress a number of times during the night. This mattress was literally the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on in 50 years of traveling. Based on the lack of empathy of the service personnel and the terrible nights sleep we had, we will never again use All Seasons to book a room! For the prices they charged, you would expect to get a good nights sleep!

We made reservations here for our 37th wedding anniversary. We had reservations for Monday-Friday, February 10-14. When we arrived we were given a parking space, directions and 2 sets of keys. When we arrived in the elevator we were informed - by a sign in the elevator, not by the person at the desk - that there would be NO WATER AND NO ABILITY TO FLUSH THE TOILET FROM 9AM TO 5PM MONDAY THRU WEDNESDAY, WHICH WAS REALLY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY WHICH WAS 9AM TO 8PM. We asked for an inconvenience fee reduction in the rent and were told that we would have to leave now and they would refund all of our money. Since we had just driven 6 hours from Phoenix and unloaded the car and were in the condo, we thought we could handle the inconvenience. The NO WATER problem extended into Thursday, from 9AM to 8PM. Still no reduction in the rent. I think this is outrageous. The people that referred us to Cari by the Sea had never heard of the water being off. We were not warned beforehand nor by the lady at the front desk. I highly discourage you from using this place, it is obvious that they don’t give a sh*t about what you think of their establishment. I will NEVER go back to that place in this life or the next!!

Two of my sisters and I spent 6 nights in condo 601. My understanding is the condos are owned and managed separately. We had a fabulous experience. The condo was as advertised. The king bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable! The view was amazing, as it was facing the ocean! The location is close enough to walk to wonderful restaurants and shops. There's a security guard 24 hours a day at the front desk. We were very well satisfied with our stay at Capri by the Sea.
