First off, this place is a great location. Was working Super Bowl Experience for a couple days at Moscone Center South. Traffic in the area was horrendous. Being able to park at Bay Bridge Inn for free and walk the 4-5 blocks was super convenient. I really wanted to like this place, but couldn't get over the musty/smoky smell in the office and room 106. At first glance, the rooms match the pictures, but taking a closer look there were broken lampshades, no swing lock/bar chain on door, sloppy caulking in the bathroom, broken closet bar holder bracket, broken window shutters, etc. Since this trip was primarily to work, I was looking for a clean and safe stay. Do not need all the bells and whistles, but the room did not feel clean. I think the housekeeping staff is doing there best with what they're being given. Not sure if the smell was in the carpet or the furniture, but had to open the windows and air out the room during the day. Would not recommend if you're sensitive to odors, allergens or cigarette smoke. If that's not an issue than this may work for you. All staff was friendly and helpful. This place has seen better days and has so much potential.

The managers work really hard to create a clean, quiet and safe place to stay. Centrally located. The rooms are small, but I had everything I needed, including a mini-frig and microwave. Super friendly and helpful staff. This will now be my first choice when on business in the Bay Area.

The hotel itself isn’t bad. It’s a good value for the money. Most of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. But there is one younger guy, whom I was told is the manager, that is truly awful. I had a specific issue and this “manager” couldn’t have cared less. He was condescending, rude and totally lacked any sense of what customer service is. I was basically told if I didn’t like it I could go somewhere else. This hasn’t been my only instance with him. I’ve stayed at the hotel several times and he either hates his job or is truly oblivious to what it means to work in the hospitality industry. If I were the owner of this hotel I would seriously consider firing him or make him take intensive classes on customer service because in my opinion he is hurting the hotel with his uncaring attitude
