Coventry Motor Inn

The hotel was fantastic, it was in the best location close to many nice restaurants and bars, as short walk to tourist locations by the bay whilst away from some of the more questionable areas downtown. The rooms were very clean, not dirty or dusty and better than some of the 4 star places I've stayed elsewhere. The property was secure with swipe to enter and staff on site 24/7 which was comforting. Free parking was the big bonus as it is becoming a rarity in San Francisco and other locations in general nowdays, especially when hotels Downtown and Fishermans Wharf charge $80 bucks a night just to park a car.. I will gladly stay here again for sure as value, location, quality and comfort all a 5 star from me..

Safe location in SF, gated secure parking, clean and well appointed rooms, comfy mattresses, walking distance to Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39 (25 minutes). Lots of food options very nearby. Highly recommend!

I strongly do NOT recommend staying at this hotel. Our experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. First, the employees were incredibly rude. When we arrived, they rushed us while we were trying to park, making the whole check-in process feel stressful instead of welcoming. We had an issue with the reservation and because we got there late, they told us that any issue with our reservation would have to wait until the next day, which is completely unacceptable after a long day of travel. To make matters worse, there was no hot water during our stay. Nothing was done to fix it or even properly address the inconvenience. We then needed to extend our stay by one more night, but were told there were no rooms available. However, they said if we were willing to pay $180 (which is about 50% more than what we paid the previous night), they suddenly “might” have something. Even more concerning, they implied that if we paid in cash, they would cancel someone else’s reservation just to give us the room. That is completely unprofessional and unethical. Overall, the service, honesty, and basic amenities were all below expectations. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.
