Hilton San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf

This is a standard Marriott but in a great location. Lady checking us in was fabulous, rooms were clean. One of the elevators was out of action for our entire stay which meant queues to get up and down. Wouldn’t say the breakfast is worth the price as lots of great local places

The only thing that really keeps this Marriott stay at a 5 out of 5 is that the location cannot be beat. We were able to walk to most places we went to in the surrounding area on foot or by electric street car. The rooms were okay, clean, and adequately provided the amenities we needed for our trip. Although this area gets rather busy at night, we did not notice any street noise from our rooms on the top floor. Surprisingly, this property does not have an M Club Lounge and that is not really advertised well on the website. Not sure if they ever had one and it is just being renovated or not. At check-in we were offered "Chocolate Daily" as a perk which we declined, but in hindsight I which I had accepted it just so that I could see what that actually gets you. Overall, it doesn't feel like a great value just from the inside of the property, but when you consider it is in a great location near the big touristy area of the city then it actually is not too bad. Way cheaper (in terms of nightly rate and overnight parking) than staying in the Marriott Marquis just about a mile away.

A solid Marriott property in a good location. It's not the largest hotel or the nicest, but they have a great staff and do the right things right. Arriving by motorcycle while on a two-month trip, the valet was friendly, helpful and told us where to park the bikes in their secure parking area. I also liked how I was only charged $50 plus tax for parking two bikes when cars are charged $75. Check-in was the same with no issues getting a 4 pm check out so we could leave our riding gear in our room while we visited Alcatraz before hitting the road. the have no M club, but the coupons for the good breakfast buffet were a worthy substitute for lifetime Platinum Rewards members. The fitness center has everything you need and the cool scented towlettes are a nice touch. It's a short walk to Pier 44 where the boats depart for Alcatraz. I'd stay here again.
