The motel is rated a 2. Way too low. The room was clean neat & comfortable. The bed was 5 star. High thread count cotton sheets with a genuine cotton quilt, not a cheap bedspread. They put 2 top sheets, 1 above & 1 under the quilt. Abundant pillows, 4 per bed. The room came with a refrigerator. Microwave. Iron & board., coffee maker & coffee grounds, 2 shampoo’s & lotion. The bathroom had a bathtub and also very abundant thick & thirsty white Cotten towels. I tested the internet speed on fast.com & it came back with 130 mps. I was blown away. I didn’t bother with the good size TV. With that speed I just used streaming. It was an extremely hot day, but the air conditioning unit worked perfectly. Total quiet & the motel was fully booked. Never heard a sound from the other rooms. I will use them again. I go to SLO three times a month on business. It’s high season, the county fair was in progress. Even Motel6 was charging $170/nite weekdays. I paid $78/nite.

Hello everyone, I just want to write about a horrible experience I had last night. I booked a room through Snap Travel at the downtown SLO Inn. Shortly after settling in my room I noticed that the place was being used as a homeless shelter. When a homeless person started bothering by approaching my door and asking me for money, I decided I was gonna cancel my stay and ask for my money back. The owner flat out refused. I had told him I did not want to stay at a place being used as a shelter. At that point he came outside and started yelling profanities at me. He then began inciting the tenants by telling them that I was talking bad about the tenants. I then was surrounded by several aggressive tenants while the owner continued to incite them. At that point he had my key and was refusing to give it back so I can get my stuff and leave. He refused while using profanities and threatening to use a bat on me. I finally was able to escape the mob and another tenant loaned me his phone so I could call the police. During the scuffle my hand was broken. I ended up going to the ER. I contacted he mayor about the incident. The ironic thing was that the owner was mocking me for actually being a tourist. Apparently the city or state that pays him to house the homeless pays a lot more than tourists do

Room was clean and nice, thick comforter. Front desk staff and head of housekeeping were horrible, miserable monsters. They had mean scary looks on their faces and bullied customers for not being submissive. Day time front desk guy is very manic and flies into rages; calling cops at the drop of a hat. He will take your money, your stuff, your self-esteem; Housekeepers and customers seemed terrified of him.
