San Luis Obispo Downtown Travelodge

Convenient location for walking to bars and Farmers Market. Consistently clean and quiet over multiple visits. Very close to freeway entrance for getting to and from the beach.

Whenever I visit San Luis Obispo, I always plan to stay at the Avenue Inn. I like it a lot. The bed is comfortable, the Inn is clean, the management is responsive, and I feel safe. It has my highest recommendation.

Avenue Inns was a perfect spot for me for the night and very close to my destination, which was the Mission. My room was impeccably maintained— very clean. The mattress was comfortable. The room was quiet. It was quaint and had all the amenities needed: a small refrigerator with a top freezer, a microwave, an iron, an ironing board, and a hair dryer in the closet. There is an ice machine located just outside the office! At reception, Sol was extremely helpful. He gave me a local map printout and explained the directional-one-way streets nearby. I took his advice and scouted about to get a feel for what was near me. He recommended Firestone Grill, which was delicious; the following morning, I went to Starbucks for coffee, parked on Higuera— they open at 5 a.m. Both were less than a mile from me. I would definitely recommend the Avenues Inn to those needing a room!
