Comfort Inn (Marina)

We stayed here for graduation weekend at CSUMB. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was pleasant, breakfast was decent. I appreciate that Comfort Inn does the basics very well, down to always having water dispensers in the lobby. This lobby had a variety of seating which we put to use the first night eating takeout.

Not a $400 night hotel, $250 at best motel. It's clean, but AC didn't work in the room, I checked in too late to move after realizing it's didn;'t work.(sure they would have moved me, was waiting for AC to kick in, never did and I was too tired, I should have moved...opened the window, highway noise, didn;t sleep well. It's a Comfort Inn not Four Seasons, I get it, but again $400 night, .nope

We had at least 15 rooms to check in when our Miata Club arrived. The front desk handled this large group with ease. They even had my room preference for me. The bedsheets and pillows were exceptional. I had just stayed at a higher priced hotel the night before and this Comfort Inn was better! The complimentary breakfast was supposed to start at 6am. Being an early riser I checked to see if they were ready 15 minutes early and they were!! My next visit to the Monterey, CA area I'll be staying here!
