The Blue Sail Inn

Arrived between 11:00 and 11:30 coming from Pismo Beach. Made a reservation a week earlier. Knowing check in time was 3:00. I checked with the front desk just to let them know we arrived, And were to park the car. She politely welcomed me and thanked me for my service( I was wearing my Navy Veteran Hat). Then said they offer early check in, and it will take 5 minutes if interested. Of course I took her up on it. Received our Key cards and headed to our room. Very secure facility, had to use Key card to enter the building and (elevator). This was a great opportunity due to my wife is disabled. Room was just like picture. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. This stay has made our next stay a No Brainer. We will continue to make reservations here due to Location and the Front desk experience. This was 180 out compared to The Landing, which we had the worst experience ever. Rude, unprofessional. I’m a Vietnam Veteran, Received a Bronze star for service, wearing the same hat back 3/17/2026. Ruined my stay that day. The Blue sail inn will be our future destination. We stay at Morro Bay every 2 months. Highly recommended it. The LANDING has lost us as guests for ever.

One of the best Hotel around and the rooms are always very clean. Easy to get anywhere and great restaurants around

The hotel is older, but that is no problem, it is clean. Everything worked and it was not run down. The room is big with a separate area with the bathroom sink on a long counter. and next to it was the fridge and microwave. The toilet and shower are in a separate room. There is also a nice ledge/shelf in that space to put things. No problem to find parking. Awesome view of Morro Rock, definitely go for the room with the view! Balcony was nice to have but it was little chilly so we did spend much time there. Service was good but the first girl at check in seemed like she was high. She was super slow and had that vacant look. Absent. Nobody home. Anyway, it is hard to find good workers these days, so there you have it. We liked this hotel and will definitely stay here when we come back again.
