Orange Tree Inn

Stayed for 2 nights, room was adequate and reasonably clean. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Location was good, nice walk down state street towards the wharf with lots of shops bars and restaurants on the way. The neagtives- Pool area was pretty grim in all honesty, very tired looking and not very clean. There was even a razor left on the ground and a used teabag hanging from the tree. If we had stayed in santa barbara for longer I wouldn't have wanted to stay here. Okay for very short stays as a base but not longer.

Has everything you need, except some rooms have mini refrigerators and some don’t. Staying near the pool is very convenient but can be noisier. It didn’t bother me. Beds are interesting. The bed frame is hollow metal so when you accidentally bump into it with your feet, it reverberates. When I heard the same sound come from above me I had to laugh! Ice and daily coffee is in the main lobby area as well as a microwave. Please take a walk around the neighborhood. Head away from downtown a few blocks, head a side street and back. It’s a really nice neighborhood! Very nice workers from the desk to the maintenance, etc.

I stayed two nights at the Orange Tree Inn. My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Fresh brewed coffee in the lobby. Walking distance to Old Santa Barbara Mission and Botanical Gardens. There are a few restaurants nearby and a 20-minute walk to downtown's restaurant row on State St. Met all my expectations for my stay in Santa Barbara.
