I’d give this hotel a perfect 10! It’s incredibly clean and parking is a breeze. Plus, it’s super quiet and comes with all sorts of perks like room service, a gym, and a pool. A big shoutout to Minnete at the Front Desk. She’s fantastic at customer service and was so helpful, greeting me and other customers in line and making sure we were all taken care of! The rooms are also roomy. Overall, I’m really impressed.

Our stay at the Double Tree was a mixed experience. We were excited to find a room for the night at a reputable establishment for a reasonable price. Once we arrived we were greeted by an impressive facade and a welcoming lobby. Allen at the front desk was very helpful and got us into a room before our official check in time. Parking was an additional fee which was a bit absurd but not unreasonable. So far so good. We also “upgraded” through the app to get a lanai for relaxing on the porch but it was not worth the upgrade. Our room was on the other side of the property which was a good walk but it wasn’t intolerable. As we walked to the room there were clear signs of the buildings age. Everything from the ceiling and carpet in the hallway was outdated and in need of refurbishing. Once we found our room it was spacious and well furnished with newer furniture and comfortable beds. The bathroom situation was a little underwhelming with the towels piled on the sink instead of installing a simple towel rack or shelf. The water pressure in the shower was adequate but not great. The fixtures were dated. The door to the closet is situated in such a way that if someone came out of the bathroom abruptly it could be a problem because the whole mirror covered door on the closet would shatter which nearly occurred in our first twenty minutes. The TV was very old and clearly someone had tried to steal it before and it was ready to fall off the base. The outside sliding door area with our porch and lanai was dirty and basically two old lawn chairs which was beyond disappointing with our view of the back road next to the golf course. The bolt used as a secondary lock for the sliding glass door was off center and unable to lock if the actual door was locked. The pool area and hot tub looked nice at first sight but up close it’s obvious the furniture out there needs replacing as well. The hot tub had so much cleaning chemicals that it burned my eyes and nostrils. The exercise room was actually pretty well stocked with cardio machines and free weights which was a welcome sight. The hotel restaurant wont win any awards but the food was not bad. I recommend the wagyu burger! And the flourless chocolate torte. There is also a bar and common area that is very inviting inside the lobby area. The lawn area was also nice and the tables outside on patio were also very inviting. BUT THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT WAS THE MULTIPLE PIECES OF OLD GUM THAT WERE GROUND INTO THE CARPET OF OUR HOTEL ROOM. Room 155 in several areas!!! Stepping barefoot on that was ridiculously disgusting. Especially when I am paying over $400 for one night in a hotel room! The building needs attention and painting and the room was obviously formerly a smoking room because the smell still lingers after all these years. Overall there are lots of things to like about this hotel but the bad outweighs the good for the price! This property has a lot of potential but until there is some quality control implemented me and my family will be staying elsewhere. Very disappointed in this Hilton property. And the outlets were broken! 🙁
